2026 IDFX Course

by Design Success Network

The 2026 IDFX Course by Design Success Network is a structured, self-paced program designed to help you confidently prepare for the Interior Design Fundamentals Exam—by focusing on how CIDQ actually evaluates early design thinking.

IDFX covers the front end of the design process, including existing conditions, pre-design, programming, space planning, preliminary FF&E, and schematic design. While these topics may feel familiar, the exam often presents them in abstract or unintuitive ways. This course is built to bridge that gap and help you move from guessing to intentional decision-making.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll work through the full IDFX Exam Blueprint in a clear, logical sequence. Weekly video lessons break down:

  • What CIDQ is testing in each content area

  • How exam logic differs from real-world practice

  • Common question patterns and traps

  • How to consistently apply health, safety, and welfare principles

This course is not about memorization. It’s about understanding how concepts connect, how decisions cascade from one design phase to the next, and how CIDQ expects you to reason through design problems.
